Our vision, at its core, is simple:

We aim to enhance the fan experience through the power of collecting.

What began as a passion project in a spare bedroom has evolved into one of the fastest-growing entertainment and collectibles companies in the world.

Founded by Rochester native Zach Stanley, WeTheHobby has scaled from a local idea into a global force. Now home to more than 150 full-time employees and 25,000 square feet of headquarters space in Rochester’s Village Gate.

Stanley chose to build the company in his hometown for a reason: Rochester’s tight-knit, community-first spirit is at the core of everything we do.

That foundation shaped our Rochester-based Sports Card Lounge, a modern, entertainment-forward take on the classic hobby shop. It remains a cornerstone of who we are, offering fans a place to open boxes, watch games, grab a beer, and experience our live operations from behind the scenes.

But our lounge is only one piece of a much larger story. Today, WeTheHobby has become a worldwide destination for collectors and fans, streaming over 100 hours of live content every single day across nine channels on Whatnot and Fanatics Live.

We operate 365 days a year, bringing high-energy entertainment, premium products, and unforgettable moments to audiences across the globe.

Our reach continues to grow through major partnerships with Fanatics, eBay, Whatnot and Walmart, positioning WeTheHobby at the forefront of the booming social commerce and collectibles industries. With a blend of personality-driven content, innovative technology, and a relentless focus on community, we’re building something far bigger than a marketplace. We’re shaping the future of the hobby.

From humble beginnings in Rochester to a global stage, WeTheHobby is redefining what it means to collect, connect, and be entertained.

We mean our tagline when we say it…
